Timeline

1. We die in our earthly bodies and go home to be with the Lord.

   2 Corinthians 5:6-10
   ⁶ So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, ⁷ for we walk by faith, not by sight. ⁸ Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. ⁹ So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. ¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

2. Rapture, we are lifted up in the clouds and given new bodies.

   1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
   ¹⁶ For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

15. Jesus returns with his “armies” to earth. The false prophet and antichrist are thrown into the lake of fire. And the rest of the people are slain and the birds eat their flesh.

    ²⁹ “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ³⁰ Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

16. Satan bound in the pit for 1,000 years.

17. Those who died for the testimony of Jesus during the 7 year tribulation are raised to reign with Christ for 1,000 years. The rest do not come back to life until the end of the 1,000 years.

18. At the end of the 1,000 years Satan will be released to deceive the nations again and will come to Jerusalem for battle and fire will consume them and Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire.

19. All of the dead are judged and if their name is not written in the book of life, they are thrown into the lake of fire along with Death and Hades.

20. New heaven and earth: God will dwell with his people.

21. The 12 apostles will be seated on thrones.
